Doing Good

Sincerity
By Tzvi Freeman

When you and the path you have chosen get along just great, it’s hard to know whether your motives are sincere.

But when you come across a path to do good,
and this path goes against every sinew of your flesh
and every cell in your brain,
when you want only to flee and hide from it
–do this.

Then you shall know your motives are sincere.

One response to “Doing Good

  1. Do Good Things

    There is so little time,
    to do good things,
when there are so many good things
that are needed to be done.

    I once heard someone yelling
    at someone else,
“Do you think God put me
on earth just to serve your needs?”

I do think God put us all here on
earth just to serve each others needs.

    Use every encounter,
every difficult problem that faces you,
every terribly unlovable person you meet needing love,
    every moment you have
    to do those good things
because you have so little time
    to do them in,
    and because
there are so many good things
that are needed to be done.
